The last bisons in Europe are to be found in the Bialowieza National Park near Lodz. This national park is the only nature reserve in Poland under Unesco protection. I went there last year and I was impressed to see that we still have untouched natural places in Europe. The bison though is not that impressive... The American buffallo is bigger for instance ... Anyway, if you get to Lodz, you should take a hiking trip through this park.
