I've been in Torun last year for a few days and I stayed at this place on Jozefa street, the Youth Hostel. It's really cheap, for a bed you'll pay 13 zl, and you'll get the basaic services. The only set back is that it's too close to the train line. Werll, at least you can't get lost ... you can always follow the tracks back to the railway station.
